Summary

From a family of artists, worked as an art teacher and textbook illustrator. Participated in the Anti-Japanese resistance beginning in 1937, eventually became the editor of 《黎明报》 in 1943.  Created lianhuanhua of war heroes from 1946 to 1947, and edited the CCP periodical 《冀南日報》 shortly thereafter. After the Civil War served in variety of government art association posts in Hebei and created propaganda images.
